I bought the steam version of Game Dev Tycoon, and it’s not working at all…
When i try to start, Steam sais i’m in-game but nothing happends… My Computer starts to choke and i have to use task manager to kill the process (gamedevtycoon.exe), yet the computer chokes for a couple of minutes after that. I got no Anti-Virus installed atm, and i have tried to start the game via the steamapps folder to run it outside of steam.
I really can’t figure this out.
Running Win7 64bit.
Yeah, I had manny issues with the game.
Some thimes the UI of Steam ativates itselfs and some times that makes the game crashed.
Hmmm, btw the game is making me two images of the exe when I run it. Is that normal?
You mean two process of gamedevtycoon.exe (Task Manager)? If that is what your talking about, that’s normal.
I have some issues with the ingame Steam UI when an ingame dialog is open. The Steam UI doesn’t react anymore until I tab out and back in again. There is no problem while no dialog is open.
Also my Esc button doesn’t work anymore since I hammered it like crazy to close the Steam UI. I guess I have to finish the game in one session
Is there a way to open a console and give a save command?
@Yohansen
Have you tried re-installing via steam?
and rebooting your pc?
and updating your graphics drivers?
It sounds like a symptom of something blocking the game. If all of the above fail to help please double check windows firewall settings, and try creating an exception.
Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Allow a program through WIndows Firewall.
Also you can send me screenshots to support@greenheartgames.com of your processes tab in task manager.
Hi Charlie!
Yes, i have tried everything you sugested, and the grapic drivers are up to date.
Still a no go I’ve sent you a screenshot of my running processes.
