That’s really unfair! Trading cards should have been released with the game when they got introduced not now… I recently bought it and I am not eligible to get the initial trading cards when you purchase the game… :frowning: Big Dislike

There were no free trading cards given out at purchase, you get them the same way as always, by running the game.

This photo is taken directly in the Badges Section on Steam for Game Dev Tycoon and EVERY game has a trading card drop when someone buys the game apart from running the game. Also if we don’t get trading card games when purchasing the game how are we supposed to collect all 5 badges since you only get 3 cards from playing the game and you need 6 to collect all badges. It really doesn’t make any sense.

While i agree the way it is written is confusing, and feel free to tell Steam that.

How Steam cards work in summary is that you run the game (you don’t even need to play it you can just go and do housework) you get card drops then you must trade/buy the remainders from the Steam Marketplace.

The seller of the card gets the majority of the money while steam takes a very small cut. But thats a lot of very small %.

Actually booster packs are created as people finish crafting things. Since I have crafted the basic card badge a few times over I have effectively increased the drops others have giving them a better chance at getting more/newer cards.
