I bought the game on steam today. But after trying to install it, the dialogue box say “your plattform is not supported”. I am on Linux and the front page on greenheart games claims to support Linux. How do i get it installed? Do i have to install it outside of Steam somehow?
The Steam edition of Game Dev Tycoon is currently not available on Linux, but Greenheart are working to resolve this asap. In the meantime, you may purchase the Desktop edition, which has a working release for Linux.

Will i have to purchase it again then? Or will it be like other games on steam that i will get the linux version eventually when released on steam?
If that is the case i could maybe just wait until the linux version is released on steam.
There will be a Linux release of the Steam edition eventually, but we’re not able to give an exact date at the moment.
You only have to purchase the game again if you want the game on Linux now.
