Hello, i had Win8 few moths ago but my computer got 
because of that so i had to reinstall win7. The problem is i bought Game dev on win store and now i cant claim the key…
I really want to play Game dev tycoon again so help me please!
That sucks.
But given how Steam keys are delivered to customers who bought the Windows Store version, I think your only option is to re-install Windows 8.
I do understand why you wouldn’t though 
But for the sake of claiming your Steam key, maybe you could install Win 8 on an old harddrive, and then toss it once you’ve claimed the key.
Other than that, I don’t think you have any option, but to buy the game again.
But it’s a small price to pay for never having to deal with Windows 8 again.
Wow. I feel sorry for you. Given the way that the guys at Microsoft sucks to not give any option to the developer to contact their consumers.
Id rather buy the game again than install win8 again

You have 4 choices available to you:
- Give Windows 8 another chance and try again. I’ve had bad experiences in the past when trying to upgrade from previous version, but in every case a clean install (instead of an upgrade) solved the problem, and Windows 8 is working fine.
- Install Windows 8 in a VM. VirtualBox is one great option, or you could try VMWare, or a number of others.
- Buy the Desktop edition. It’s only $8, and you get a free Steam key included. Also, it will work on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8, as well as Mac OS X 10.7.5+ and most recent Linux distros.
- Buy direct from Steam. You won’t get any non-Steam copy in this deal, but there’s no faffing about with keys to worry about, and you’ll be able to play almost immediately.
