i never got my steam key for game dev tycoon i need help

Which edition of the game did you purchase?
If you bought the ModernUI edition from the Windows Store on Windows 8, then you need to right-click in the game to bring up the pause menu and then choose the ‘Get Steam Key’ button from that menu. You may need to uninstall and then redownload the game via the Store in order to get the button to show; your saves will be retained if you do this.
If you bought the Desktop edition from the Greenheart Games Store, then you should have an email with your personalised download page. This page should contain your Steam key. If you’ve lost this email, then you can contact either FastSpring’s Customer Support via orders@fastspring.com or @Charlie via support@greenheartgames.com for assistance. Please have as many order details (email used, paypal account, etc) to hand as possible.
If you bought the Steam edition via Steam… then you won’t get a Steam key because, um, you won’t need one.
