Alright, show of hands. Who is excited for Star Wars Episode VII?
Good! Now that’s established, I have a question. Since this is a Game Dev Tycoon/Greenheart Games forum, I probably have to relate to gaming somehow. So, what is your favorite Star Wars game and why?
Mine would probably have to be Battlefront II. Not only does it have a large selection of maps, but it has lots of variety and more than six heroes to play as. Also, even though the modding community has died down a little bit recently, there is a large selection of fantastic mods to choose from. Honestly, when I first played it on PS2, it was one of my favorite games (and still is). The space battles were so epic! Now, playing it on PC, it definitely looks better. Though, the graphics aren’t that good close up. Either way, it’s still my favorite.
I’m probably an extreme minority here but my all-time favorite Star Wars game is Star Wars: Rebellion which was published in 1998 (an extremely good year for gaming!).
It was a pretty flawed game and not so well reviewed but I really got into it. Spent days in this game
Jedi Knight is definitely a great Star Wars game, as is Rebellion. Have you played Empire at War at all? It’s a fun RTS, though I think the space battles are way more superior than the land battles.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Definitely!
When I said Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was the best, I mean’'t that it was the best out of the Battlefront trilogy, soon to be series. My favorite Star Wars game is definitely Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, @PatrickKlug. So many good memories… In fact Dark Forces 2 might be the first game I ever played.
@Lukas_Schuurman it depends what kind of games you like.
if you enjoy RTS, get Star Wars: Rebellion or Star Wars: Empire at War
if you enjoy FPS, get Battlefront I or II (the original ones, not the new ones by DICE)
and there are lots of others too; some harder to come by than others
Yes, the original Star Wars film at least; don’t start with the prequels, the story is pretty bad. Episodes V and VI are better, but they’ll make no sense if you don’t see IV.
