I am at year 108, all my employees are 900 or over on their skills, and training them doesn’t result in any real increases any more. Sometimes it says it has added +1 to a skill but the skill does not increase. One of my employees sat at 899 Speed for ages no matter how many Speed training courses I sent her on.
Then I sent her on a Research course, for which she was under 900, and Speed increased by 1.
How do research points work at this point in the game please? Currently I am sitting on over 3000 research points and no idea what to do with them as training seems pointless.

The maximum training methods in the game cap out at 900. You’ve sadly hit the limits of the game. Unless you install mods that add new tech and training, there’s unfortunately not much you can do.
