Ehh, there’s not much to it and it takes away from the game. I just like the screenshot for fun. I’m going to start up a new game soon and steer totally clear of MMO’s as to not end up stupidly rich again. Yeah, it’s fun and cool to see, but it definitely makes the game less chalenging… by a lot!
Like using some money cheat code I guess …
Hopefully the dev are aware of the problem
I dont think he cheated, its all about numbers, even though it does look a bit weird income level…
No, Patrick knows there’s an issue with MMO’s. I didn’t cheat or alter my save or anything. I made a mediocre MMO, which sold a million or so copies the first month. I decided to keep it afloat with an expansion pack, the expansion scored an 8 and the MMO took off a little.
I noticed, with every expansion and convention, the MMO got a massive boost in sales. When I say massive, I mean it, the growth was exponential over time. As the monthly upkeep cost rose, so did the boost in profits. In that screen shot, the largest peaks are something like 100 trillion profit.
As you can see to the left of the shot, I was in the red for a few weeks. Each of those was multiple billion losses. The issue is, you profit say 50B, then lose 30B in a downward dip. Because the cost keeps rising each month though, when you have a convention/release an expansion a month later, you earn 100B that time, and lose only 50B the next dip.
That cycle continues until you reach stupid profits like I show in the screenshot. It’s just a cycle of expansions and conventions. All expansions past my first one were rated ~6, like the main game. But the hype of the conventions kept the massive profit rolling in.
So, please, don’t accuse me of cheating
