Savegame problem

Hello,

I had bought this game and downloaded it and play with it.
But then i had it activated on steam.
But i want to transfer my save game.
But i cant transfer my game.
If i have transferd the save files it doe’nt work.

you need to find where steam version saves it savefiles and where the non steam saves it

then you just move from the non steam to the steam version

you need to remember both needs to be same game version if not the non steam version might be outdated and it will most likely corrupt your save

are you sure because normally savegames are located in steam folders not sure about gamedev though

many non steam games save storage are located in its own folder and if you suddenly redeem and install the game on steam it will create a completely new folder for savefiles

Hey, We don’t support transferring save games between different editions. They are located in the same place however. Steam also has extra data stored in the steamapps folder. The location depends on your OS.

On Windows:

C:/Users/YOURUSER/Appdata/Local/Game Dev Tycoon/Local Storage/
(Where YOURUSER is your Windows user name)

To View the App Data folder please allow viewing of Hidden Files and Folders;
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/show-hidden-files

On Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/{app}/Local Storage

On Linux
~/.config/Game Dev Tycoon
(might be slightly different)

He does’nt work
