[REL] Game Dev Tycoon: Platforms, Events, and Topics, OH MY

well you said it was in the actions area i think, i think that part needs to be simulated somehow, without the game involved…

Hmm, this is rather strange… I haven’t run into this error at all using V1.7.0 with no platforms but any other version with or platforms causes this error. I couldn’t even use V1.6.2 with no platforms due to the error I stated above. But the one you just sent me works fine… At least for now.

Really strange, it seems it’s random and why it’s occurring is puzzling me…

Yeah this is really weird. It happens all the time whenever I play on a previous save before the mod was installed like the one I tried to play with it yesterday. That’s one way to recreate it. But it also happens at random to new games as well.

Interesting concept to find the error, but to really find it, one would have to go into the code while the game is running, doing a debug mode would be the way i think. At first i thought it was me, I’m glad it wasn’t me and a confirmed bug by others, a game breaking bug.

Yeah I knew about stuff like that. I am just no good at coding or programming and no nothing about debugging. Haha kind of ironic in that sense that we are talking about coding and debugging a mod for a game that is just that. Coding and debugging. Anyways, @Venomous do you have any idea if you would ever be able to make this mod playable without having to start a fresh game everytime? Cause maybe if this bug is gotten rid of for good could that possibly open up a way to make it possible? I am just going out on a whim here cause I know nothing about programming. I’d actually like to get into it at one point so I can start creating my own mods and stuff. I have a topic already with tons of ideas but I don’t know how to program it.

@Venomous HEY! Speaking about those ideas, this is kinda off topic from the bug but if you would like to, you could use any or all of my ideas from this topic for your mod! 1.7.1 won’t be out till after December 25, 2013 aka Christmas, since I am currently taking a break from modding for awhile.

I am finished with my modding break, :smile: I am so glad that I am now coding for the mod again.

1.7.1 is now out for public download for the regular version of the mod and the no platforms version of the mod.

1.7.1 Release Notes:

  1. Implemented 125 Year, 130 Year, 135 Year, and 140 Year Game Extensions

Updates will be small for a while, due to a new feature that I will be coding for the mod!

The new feature is on the same-scale as Custom Computers in the ExpansionPack Mod, made by @DzjengisKhan.

Custom Mobile Platforms is currently in development, and will take a while to code and test. It should be released sometime in early 2014.
