He is usually on around this time so his post will come. Try and not use all the extra money features on a game such as joystick, etc. it can save you money.

The only features I use are Savegame, 2D graphics V2, Basic Sounds and Linear Story. The first game gets an average of 8, but the next gets around 4-6.

EDIT: I just made 1 more game. It got 4 10s. The heck? xD

EDIT 2: I keep having this problem. The gameling is the console with the most marketshare, and every single game I’ve put on it gets less sales because “it isn’t a well shared platform”? Is that a bug?

EDIT 3: When I moved into the new office, the screen goes black and a window pops up saying Javascript alert: [object event]

EDIT 4 (>.>): The game crashed. Upon re-launching in my browser, the character gaphics are fixed (everything else is still broken). I’m also in the new office.

EDIT 5 (Jesus…): My character graphics are being shown, but not any of my staff. I can only tell if they’re on holiday through the workload bar… :frowning:

im sure its because even though the Gameling is the most marketshare, it isn’t 100% because of the other consoles. Usually a game with a bad review gets low sales. Each console is more specific to each other, if you haven’t checked the wikia yet, the Gameling is the best for Racing Games. Thats all im gonna say :page_facing_up:

Are you sure @PatrickKlug is on around this time? He hasn’t been on for around 2 hours. Then again, I understand he’s busy.

Been the founder and basically one of two main people in GHG, (Him and his brother), of course they would be hard at work on the game, and on the forums helping people and orders, etc. He is usually on around this time for the past week, as he is now working full time on the game.

The White screen problem is actually just a white screen with no text but i appreciate that you tried to fix this.

Please follow these steps exactly and let me know how it goes.

  1. Uninstall and delete all files associated with Game Dev Tycoon
  2. Reboot your computer
  3. Disable/ Turn off completely Norton antivirus
  4. Using the email with the links re-download Game Dev Tycoon using a browser in its default state with no optional security add ons. I would suggest chrome, again with no optional added security add ons enabled.
  5. Install as administrator
  6. Reboot
  7. Run the game as administrator and test, if it works;
  8. Turn Norton etc back on

N.B if you are using any other form of security that could block or damage downloads and installs please also disable this before you start this process.

I did this down to the letter. No change. I’m now getting a bit annoyed, I’ve bought this game 24 hours ago and spent a few trying to get the game running. I know it’s not your fault, I i’m just a bit dissappointed my PC has to be the rare one that doesn’t work…

Sorry about the delay, I have dealt with 10000’s problems for Game Dev Tycoon but this one is a new can of tuna!

I have done some research and what i am about to say may, or may not be correct, i need to check it out with some other sources.

Is a browser error message which basically means it cannot find the stylesheet to display the page.

The error message would imply that something is blocking Chromium, the browser type software the game uses or that some local settings are trying to call a different browser.

Do you have the UAC turned on? is it set too high? is your account an admin account? have you changed many default settings related to browsers, internet, files? Can you list all of your “always on” running programs? is there another pc you have access too that you can use the installer package on? is all your software, java, chrome, Service packs etc up to date?

Let me know how it goes.

i was searching around and found these steps… and idk if this will work or not so try it see if it fixes the problem

and for my step to work, please make sure that google chrome is your default browser

1. Click Start and select “Control Panel.”

2. Click “Classic View.”

3. Double-click “Internet Options.”

4. Click the tab that says “Advanced.” It is the one located at the very right-hand corner of the dialog box.

5. Find the section that says “Browsing” under the list of settings.

6. Single-click to check the “Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)” and “Disable script debugging (Other)” check boxes.

7. Single-click to REMOVE the check from the “Display a notification about every script error” check box.

8. Select “Apply” to fix the issue.
