Questions about skyrim

Hey! I’ve been playing skyrim and I’m new to it here are some questions I want to know:

  1. who are the Thalmor and why are they sided with the empire even
    though they want to destroy them, is it because of their contract?

  2. is ulfric secretly with the thalmor? If I join the storm cloaks since I am a high elf will I be descriminated against?

  3. whoever I join can I still kill the thalmor regardless?

  4. who in the literal heck should I join

I advise you to ask the skyrim community, one who has more knowledge of the game more than random users on a forum about a completely different game :wink:

  1. The Thalmor are sided with the Empire because of the White-Gold Concordat, a treaty signed after a war that occurred between those two factions. The Thalmor now have unrestricted access, in exchange for peace.

  2. IDK Imperial questline is easier so I chose that.

  3. Yes.

  4. If you want a challenge: Stormcloak. If not: Imperial
