Is this a sequel to the one on Steam or an HD remake? Should I wait until the new one comes out before I buy it?

Actually, GHG only developed and published Game Dev Tycoon. And they’re in the process of developing their second game ‘Tavern Keeper’.
Game Dev Story was made by a company called Kairosoft and Moonstone Tavern has nothing to do with Tavern Keeper other than that it has the ‘tavern sim’ theme. If that’s what you mean.
