A have a question (especially for @alphabit):
How the heck do you create a pop up event for a console, example: I want to make a pop up box that talks about a console, like “While Grapple and Samsing are having some battle, Mokia might enter the battle with their Lunia! It comes with a wide choice of models and colors, it also runs Mirrors phone 8! Later next year.” UME event maker seems complicated to me, the UME video is abit too… I don’t know how to say this, If anyone knows how to make like I said, please tell me in a clear and clean way
Although i’ve not used UME yet, i can tell that this probably a time based event. So as soon as you reach a certain date, popup the notification. Since most consoles are released on a time basis, you should be able to pin point a date without trouble!
I’ll upload a new video tutorial in the next minutes. Maybe you’ll find it easier to follow.
Creating these events in UME is very easy.
Add a new Platform.
In the platform dialog, switch to the “events” view:
Click on the event manager shortcut button:
In the event manager window, click on “+” to add a new event:
In the event editor, define the event as you like it (i.e. by date trigger):
Add a notification (if you don’t have added any yet, simply click on the notification manager symbol):
Add a notification by clicking on the “+” symbol
Edit the notification as required, you might also want to add an image if you like
Select the notification in the event editor form
Once done, you need to assign the event to your platform. For this, double-click on an event from the list of available events so that it will be assigned.
You can also create events and notification before creating the platform, so it’s only a matter of selecting them, then.
Using this approach, you can add as many events and notifications to a platform as desired.
As soon as the new tutorial video has been uploaded to youtube, I’ll update the official thread.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help
