How can I code a simple method to change the Reviewer Names in Game Dev Tycoon?
Considering where the reviewers names are stored it is not going to be easy to change.
It is actually very easy. Just open codeNw with Notepad++, it’s stored there: D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Game Dev Tycoon\compressed .
Then it’s easy:
-Ctrl+F: “All Games”,
-Replace it with whatever you want.
-Repeat for other Reviewer Names
I think he means from a modding standpoint
Indeed, I should have read his post better.
But really, why bother making a mod for this when it’s that easy ?
Well if you want to make mod that adds or changes reviewers and perhaps they all have slightly different game tastes. There’s lots of reasons. Using you method it cannot be distributed to other players like a mod can.
and it’s illegal to distribute it, meaning you will break the Modding Agreement made by Greenheart Games
