I’d love to see someone either via mod or save editor enable the topics/genres to be permanently unlocked after unlocking them the first time round, (I say save editor as there is already one out there that does this, but it doesn’t work with later versions of the game). I just get really sick of having to spend research points and more-so time unlocking them to find my preferred topics/genres. Is this even a possibility via modding?
I think it is for the more experienced modders in the Game Dev Tycoon community. I can take a look at it, though… .although I’ll probably not understand it

It’s a matter of true or false within the code.
So it’s certainly possible to have a mod that does that.
If you are familair using Notepad++, you can in a few minutes add all topics unlocked to your game.
I do not reccoment this if you have no clue on how to edit your saves though.
Well… I know a way to do it but there’s probably a much easier way so I wouldn’t recommend mine.
Just as pre 1.4 the same topics were available at the start, the topics are random now. This determent within the code.
It’s a simple ( for coders ) change to be made in order to make all topics available at start.
Save game editing is more for when a mod is not available
Any help be it a step to step of editing the save or implementing it within a mod would be awesome, no rush tho I’m currently enjoying DzjengisKhan’s mod
