Is it possible to add in new genres when making a mod?
possible: yes, if you dabble deep into the code
easy: no
besides the challenge to find every part of the code where genres are processed, you would also have to touch every topic and platform to add info on how well it fits your new genre.
well i mean i’m fine without new genres
There would be a lot of compatibility issues with other mods that add new topics, as you’d have to define the good and bad sides for the modded genre as well.

That’s only if, you add the same topics that the other mods have.
No… if another mod adds other different topics they don’t have your genre in it. You will not be able to play then because the other mods doesn’t know about the genre from the other mod.
