Project Spartan v. Chrome

Wow… :smirk:

Review #1: Project Spartan

Well… Atleast Microsoft announced Project Spartan on Jan 2015. And I even got the ISO for the Win 10 Preview. I tried Project Spartan to download “Linux lovers programs” And streaming YouTube.
Well here is my Accurate results
9.8/10 - It kills Chrome like hell
Really look modern
Fast speed like as hell
Does beat IE 10/11
Even downloads my 100mb programs in just 30 mins.

Review #2 (Current and Mostly used Browser in the world): Chrome.
Well I am typing this topic on Chrome (as always)
The differents of Chrome and Spartan is most likely…
#RAM Usage.
Chrome is a monster eating browser…
But Spartan usage is much likely IE versions (which uses low RAM usage)
Their net speed is still ok
And the results.
8.4/10 - Fast like Spartan, takes your RAM easily.
Fast speed
Fast streaming
Syncing.
Fast downloads
Eats your RAM usage
Very secured from download files like exe.

Thats it. I cant do Firefox cause @Stian will be insane…
NO FLAME WARS :fire::

I hope spartan gets the option for extensions and a smaller bar at the top, because that are the 2 only reasons i use chrome

um
is dat good?

No, the most used browser is IE 10 or 9.

I am seriously considering Spartan, because Chrome sometimes works like it would hate life.

How about we don’t use Chrome, Spartan or IE
And all start using Firefox

That’s very bad, but it really relies more on your internet than the browser you’re using. 30 mins for 100mb equals about 50-100kb/s internet speed which is very bad.

No.
Opera.

both are botnet

go back to kindergarten.

Well it chrome it downloads my 100mb files in just 1-7 mins.

Spartan is stil in alpha/beta… they will still improve it

BTW. my net speed is 200kbs-1.5mbs

Thank You

Guys can we all just agree on the fact that IE is the best ever? It only took me twelve hours to type this - very quick and efficient!

No. Firefox is my favorite.

That is a close runner up for slowest cough cough excuse me, I mean fastest browser. But come on, IE is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo efficient on saving time! You know what they say, use Internet Explorer!

You mean efficient because it’s bundled in Windows, so you won’t need to waste time downloading and installing an another browser, right?

Well that is one of the many perks of using IE, but overall it’s just great!

Advertiser!

Wait!
Forget Opera, Chrome, IE, Firefox, Spartan, Safari, Netscape!
There’s Vivaldi!

WTF?

How can browser affect download speed?

If your net speed is (25 kB/s - 187 kB/s)

then it’s impossible to download 100MB file in 7mins.
100MB / 0.12 MB (assuming your average speed is ± 120kB) is 855/60 = ~14 mins

Download speed depends on your download and server’s upload, it has NOTHING to do with browser.

We are talking about @kingofblox360 here, which as we all know, he has no idea what he is talking about :stuck_out_tongue:

He just makes any excuse he can to try and prove Chrome is better, I bet if he actually stopped being closed minded and he tried Firefox and got used to it he would enjoy it.

I tried so hard to like Firefox, but it was slower than chrome for loading pages… and I prefer chrome anyways. I don’t doubt that it’s a good browser, it’s just not for me.
