Cant Figure this out about Game Dev Tycoon.
Right now i’m using a mac and when i try to update the game, i don’t know what “re-use the download link in your original purchase email” means, can someone help me.
Where/how did you buy the game?
If you bought the game via the Greenheart Games Store, you’ve received an e-mail for downloading the game. If you want to update, go to the same link in that e-mail, download it again and just install (no need to deinstall).
If you bought the game via Steam or Windows Store your game will be automatically updated so there’s no need to do any of the above in that case.

You state that ‘Right now you are using a mac’ Which may imply you were using something else before. Therefore i have included all update information for all OS and editions
How you re-install/update the game depends on which edition you purchased.
For the Windows 8 Store edition, please sign in to the windows 8 store on your windows 8 PC, with the account credentials you used when you purchased the game. From here navigate to the user control area to redownload any purchased apps.
For the Standard edition please refer to the original order fulfilment email from our distributer Fastspring, this contains all the download links for each supported platform and a link to your personal order page which contains your free Steam key. Please note that the Steam key is for your use only. If you no longer have this email please contact orders@fastspring.com and ask for your order fulfilment email to be resent.
For the Steam edition please download and install Steam on your computer. Sign in with your existing credentials and from there you can find any purchased games in your library.
For the Humble Store edition please visit https://www.humblebundle.com/ and sign into your personal account page to access any purchased games. From here you can download them.
If you are having difficulties and purchased from a distributor not detailed above then please let us know which distributer you purchased from and we will help you further.
No offence, but i think a mac doesn’t run any version of Windows.

I’ve never used a windows computer before and when i go to my mail application, it uses a different email then i use and i cant change it
Then say you used a gmail account to purchase the game just go to the gmail website instead of using an e-mail client

You don’t know what @Charlie meant. For example, if you use Microsoft Hotmail or Microsoft Outlook.com, then go to www.outlook.com or www.hotmail.com. If you use Gmail then go to www.gmail.com which redirects to mail.google.com if you’re already signed in. Try opening your e-mail via a browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Maxthon) instead of a mail client (Mozilla Thunderbird, OS X Mail, Android Email, Gmail for Android).
Examples of email providers: Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo! Mail
Examples of mail clients: Mozilla Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, OS X Mail
