Problems in game dev tycoon

  1. No Arcades. Probably because of the game being too PC centric.
  2. No Multi-platform development. Very Unrealistic.
  3. Sequels have to be researched. They have to be available at the beginning of the game!
  4. Some redundant topics. Horror and Vampire are separate topics.
  1. not sure what you mean by arcades
  2. apparently you didn’t play the game enough to know that you can research to multi-platform allowing you to make games for multiple consoles
  3. well that may be true but that does not really affect the gameplay
  4. not sure what you mean by that

well multi-platform should have come sooner.

back then they barely created games for multiple consoles

  1. Meh, no Jumpman is fine.
  2. You can research multi-platform.
  3. That would make no effect to the gameplay.
  4. Think about it, is Amnesia and Castlevania the same game?

I think the fact that features unlock over time is a good thing. It keeps the game interesting instead of feeding you with the same generic things all the time. And it’s very expensive to develop and hard to sell arcade games from what I’ve heard (feel free to correct me), so I can see why they aren’t in GDT. The topics are debatable. I’d also change a few, but I don’t really mind anyway.

With those Arcades…
If you wanted to create a game for an simple Arcade with 1 joystick and ass-s :green_heart: ing buttons, you could have some kind of template which you could buy from some random Company, and add 999999999999 labels with game’s name (and of cousre program the game). But if it would be a hit…

(So much moneh)

lol i wouldnt classify castlevania as a “horror game”, it’s more of like an adventure game with count dracula in it.

it’s genre is horror

horror games does not necessarily have to be scary

Well i don’t agree with you, it’s not about horror, it’s about a guy whipping his whip to enemies and fighting his way to count dracula himself.

it’s not something you have to agree on it’s a horror game

it’s genre is Platform-adventure, Survival horror

a horror can be a game that include enemies which us human would normally be scared of in real life

True, true, but it’s not “survival horror” it’s leaning towards “horror” but not “survival horror” as that’s a mechanic-based genre, about surviving in a horror-infested world.
