For whatever reason, I can’t add features to my games using this computer. The features menu doesn’t even appear until I click the next button, and even then only briefly.
I actually finished the game on my mom’s computer while waiting to upgrade this one (which I did for the sole purpose of playing Game Dev Tycoon), so I’m well aware of how research and engines work.
My current save on this computer is still in the garage stage. I’ve made an engine using all the default unlocked stuff (2D graphics v2, mono sound, linear storyline, savegame). I can’t make use of anything except the 2D graphics v2. As I stated before, the side-panel with features does not even show up until I click to move on to the next phase, when it will briefly pop up to mock me just before the window closes.
My question is, can I play through the game and create a successful company without ever using features? They only add bonuses, right? Is it possible to get good ratings with zero features aside from graphics?
