Overhauling the MMO’s
I’ve recently purchased this game, starting playing and tinkering with it via the SQL database program to edit my saves and help me progress further without much worries of growing bankrupt. I’ve finished the game and surprised how short it’s kinda is, but I could of expected that in the first place as i don’t know how far this game will go far.
When I first researched MMO’s, i’ve was expecting some huge and big research things to appear, but sadly all I get was the ability to make an expansion pack to refresh the sales of my game. Which is kinda lame, I was expecting to research things to help improve the MMO’s part, such as researching options like player vs player, raids, dungeons, crafting, realm vs realm, world vs world, invasions (rift, events), streaming clients, improvements of servers, virtual reality, and many other modern real-world systems in our world.
I recommend that MMO’s get it’s own special menu, so that certain system that i research that belong in the MMO’s section be in that menu then on the regular game menu. That way it makes making MMO’s unique then something generic and lack of innovation on that part.
If you are not planning on overhauling the MMO’s in this game, at least i recommend add in mod support for game dev tycoon, so that players be able to make this overhaul that allows us to play more content in this game, and actually allow more years and a slower timer in the game so that we have more time to perform better on our scores. Mod support can really help this game out as many people as many ideas to place in this game, that believe it or not. Mod support help increase your sales, just like how half-life 2 mod support become famous, and gave birth to famous fun community games like Garry’s Mod, DayZ, Project Reality, Fall From Heaven 2, and many more mods that have been made.
Speaking of which, I’m surprised that when I’ve researched mod support in my engine, i’m surprised i don’t get a random event to where sales increased dramatically after a successful and famous mod was been made in one of the games that I’ve developed and increased sales by 200%. DayZ is the real example for that, and people was quite suprised and loved that game even today, and scored better then the other games that tried to beat DayZ (like that piss poor mmo game called WarZ).
I really hope that the developers of Game Dev Tycoon take a look at what I’ve posted and see what they have to say about this nice idea.
