The ouya looks like an interesting device, and I was wondering if it would be a good console to purchase.

I Don’t think this is a good thing to buy. It’s better to have a good phone.
But…
OUYA will be updated, so… It can change, it is already better.
Just see some reviews on YT, You will see why NOW it is not really worth it.
I’d rather get the fire tv that Amazon just came out with…

Yeah, at least for now… We don’t know if they’ll support the other controllers later on after the first couple of months or so…
The OUYA will be great. It allows you to play high end Android games, without having a 500 dollar phone or tablet. And it uses Android OS, which I love. Now the Fire TV, it’s about the same (more expensive I think?). But it uses Amazons custom version of Android and App store. Which each suck, because it’s very poorly done. But that’s just my opinion, some people like Amazons stuff.

I don’t think OUYA is good. Phones and tablets can play Android games too and most people have Android phones.
Android games are good because they are made if you have spare time and on the go. If you put them on a tv, it’s just boring. I don’t think the touch pad is really responsive either. Android games aren’t really meant to be played in sessions of hours, they’re just when you have spare time, or you’re forever alone. The other games are made on other consoles too, i’d rather play on my PS3.
