Official Mod Code Error Thread - For Mod Users

Ah I solved it… It was just that i missed to activate the Ultimate Library (thought i had it activated). I activated it and restarted the game and everything went smooth. Thank you for the answers!

I have a problem when I start the game it displays UncaughtTypeError: Cannot read property ‘is custum’ of null…I use window 7 and steam
What I can do thanks

yes but I have already unistalled and reinstalled without mods and still doesn’t work
I have installed mod UltimateLib,SuperConsoles, savebackup, platform-randomiser, percentager, gdt-modAPI, GDT-Expansion-Pack-master, dmultiplayer, camelot, AchievementsandConsoles and CM pack

uninstalling mods does not remove errors that are were introduced by mods into a save file. From the error message this very much seems like a mod error.

I would suggest starting a new game.
To do this as soon as the game hits the ‘click to continue’ screen press the ‘escape’ key and select ‘new’ from the menu. Be sure to not have any mods activated if you want to maintain the integrity of your new game.

I bought the game yesterday, played it for 3 hours, then today when opening it again i’ve seen some cool differences in the work assignment menus, some backgrounds on the tasks like graphics, sound, etc.

this is a feature, i believe, from the mod camelot.

so, i’ve started a new game, and to my surprise i can no longer see that custom ui, it displays the standard one (just the bars), i’ve tried on the camelot options to untick that only box it has, but it never works, and in each game boot the box is always ticked.

so, how to activate that custom ui?

@cachirro make sure that you have the latest version of UltimateLib and the latest version of the Camelot mod then test to see if that fixes to problem. Remember that not all mods work together, I have seen this problem before between two mods which they couldn’t work side by side because of id conflict most likely.

@snowyterrorgami pretty easy to change a id… but I’m pretty sure Camelot doesn’t add a single topic or platform, so i doubt it would be a ID conflict

IF YOU EXPERIENCE AN ERROR, PLEASE READ!

Before you report a bug/error, please make sure that…

  • … the mod API is updated
  • … UltimateLib is updated
  • … you’ve installed “Better Error Handling” by jariz

And please make sure that you provide a snapshot of your mods folder in the bug report. Thanks.

PS! If you dont get the Better Error Handling mod to work, then

1. Move all your mods out of the mod folder (apart from Mod API)
2. Install Better Error Handling
3. Launch the game and enable the mod
4. Move all other mods back in

So I installed some mods for GDT and made a new game. Once I reached the last office and purchased the R&D Lab, this error popped out:

How do I fixed this? I had no errors before buying the R&D Lab.

First of all, this should be in the ‘mod user error’ topic.

Second of all, it looks like a mod is trying to set a research which doesn’t exist to complete. Probably not right, but it might be. I am not a master at modding. I would suggest, however, that you also contact @alphabit because it is a problem with UltimateLib.
