Hello! I am playing on an old save, made before the update where the OYA, mBox Next, and Playsystem 5 were introduced, and I am wondering if anybody knows how I can get these new consoles added to my save, or the OYA at least. I am on year 105, playing on the newest version from the Windows Store.
Wow your character must be soooooo old XD
Ever considered starting a new game ? My guess is there is absolutely no chance you get them : they are released at precise dates, and these are gone ages ago in your game.
Anyways, I really don’t want to start a new game. I have billions of dollars, and really want to keep this stone rolling. I’ve spent too much time to quit now! XD
But, I suppose I will just continue on with this one. I guess it won’t make too much of a difference anyhow, just more consoles to steal my market share. Thanks for the suggestion.
I would love if somehow, they programmed the game to keep releasing consoles from the other companies, even after the game finished. I love playing saves into the far future, and this would certainly give my console some serious competition.
Anyways, thanks again, and if anybody else had a suggestion, PLEASE let me know.
I don’t think the game will be able to load consoles that were added in the latest patch.
Since you are in year 125, the release is in the past.
Your save game didnt pick that up.
Unless you are really good in editing your save file ( i do not recommend even doing that ) you could “activate” the new consoles.
The Devs could give a precise answer about this.
I would just start over.
Game is not meant to be played for that long. I even wonder how you still manage to make 8+ games, since your staff is most likely maxed out and you probably already used all engine features.
@JayCheetah Yes, this is true. All my staff are at “The Bar” of 900, some higher. You’re also correct in saying I’ve used all my engine features. However, and this shocked me, I just did make a “9” game. 9’s from all reviewers.
Should I contact the Devs with an email, or do you think they could reply to this thread?
(My “9” game below)
Hey Guys,
The devs have stated many times that although the game is essentially sandboxed past the designated end year, it is not balanced for gameplay. And yes, as you reached past the game end year on an old version you have bypassed all the trigger events that would spawn new consoles.
I would suggest starting a new game to try out the new version in its entirety. You can just use a new save slot and have both companies so if you want a break from the new company you can return to the old one!
