New Clone of GDT hitting facebook :(

I think this thread is the only reason why GamersGoMakers is known.

I’d like to know where you get that information?? Where does it say that it’s going to be on facebook in the first place?? lol

I said that???

Well no other people did  but what do you mean by “Microtransactions”?

I don’t know how to explain, but in short, it’s the maid of the P2P games

he meens in game shopping
but not in that new game
http://gamersgomakers.com/faq

It’s really in-depth, but it’s… kind of retro. And I’m not too sure if it’s the camera or the actual game itself, but it looks kind of fuzzy. Also, I don’t like how they’ve posted their logo parts (Pacman ghosts) for some of the icons. The font is a bit strange too, and I’m really not sure about the critics menu. And, the in-game windows don’t flow smoothly.

##All in all
I would buy it, but not until someone refaced it with a mod or something. They also haven’t clear which version of Windows they’re releasing it on (presumably Win7).

I think they might change the icons later before release…

I don’t know though but just seeing a bunch of pacman ghosts for almost every icon is a little confusing.
It wouldn’t stop me from at least trying it out.

Ok not p2p… Price?

Looks interesting. I’m skeptical though. Dumb name and there’s nothing original there. Developed this quickly, there’s a good chance this is just someone attempting to cash in on the sudden growth of popularity in GDS and GDT. Of course, none of us can know until we get our hands in it and see how the mechanics work. The main reason I don’t consider GDT a clone of GDS is because the underlying mechanics work very well. The mathematics involved in GDT’s code are clever and much more complex than you would expect. GamersGoMakers looks to have a very nice list of features but if it doesn’t have good enough mechanics none of the features will matter.

The game looks very promising, can’t wait for it! And looks like the faq section is written specifically for the people who posted in this thread

edit And as someone said earlier, the only thing that irks me a little is typos, but I guess with a thriving modding community anything can be fixed.

Even if they would release it ONLY for Win 7, it should work good on XP, Vista and 8 too.

Really?

But still, they haven’t credited GHG in any way!

why should they give credits to GHG??

Looks great. In fact, looks like it incorporates the best features of both GDT and GameBiz. This is especially exciting since both games have their weaknesses and strength, combining them is like a dream come true.

On the other hand, I fear feature creep, so that many of the features may be superficial or poorly done. That doesn’t seem to be the case since everything seems so, well, robust. I especially like the GameBiz style multiple teams(if that’s what the new video implies, with a producer and different team leaders. Though now that I checked it again, I guess I’m wrong. Just two leaders and the teams have different focuses(two sound artists?)). The GameBiz style hiring seems a good addition, as do the platform and genre specialisations.

The prospect of competing companies seems awesome, but hard to believe. Are they really simulated or just static like in GB? If simulated, do they get bonuses the player doesn’t, or what stops them from underperforming dramatically? After all, if it’s an honest simulation, one would expect the player to be far superior to the computer controlled companies(unless they’re simulated in a number crunching optimization in which case they’d be flawless and too hard?).

The console designing system seems awfully simple, compared to even GDT, much less GB. Hopefully that won’t be the case and just seems that way from the video.
Not sure what to think about the large amount of rooms. Seems like they would be funny for the first time, but become a drag on multiple playthroughs. I mean, 16 different rooms, that each probably need micromanagement? If they don’t need microing, why have them as different rooms? The game implies employee sizes of 20 or so(perhaps 16?), based on the team screen. If each room is manned and requires the player to access it or fiddle with the employees, it sounds dreadful. Only applies if it’s like GDT where you have to herd your employees constantly, I guess. GB style depersonalized hands-off management would make it nonproblematic, but if it’s hands-off and the team sizes are so large, the impact and personality of each employee suffers greatly. I guess it really depends on the direction of the game whether that’s a good thing or not.

The demo really can’t get here soon enough.

This. GDT, although heavily inspired by GDS, is much better because of the mechanics (and also the new features of course). I wouldn’t be surprised if GGG will have very cheap and predictable development and review systems. But we’ll have to wait and see…
