Need help restoring save game state

I’ve tried following to get the save state from someone and restore it on my computer:

But it’s not working, i keep getting back my own save games.

I tried removing the checkmark for steam cloud so it doesn’t sync the files from the cloud to the computer anymore but it’s still restoring them. I’m in a bind here!

What can i do, what have you done so far.

PS: I’m on the steam version of the game!

Found it, took me some time but i found it:

If you follow the instructions on this page it should work:

In short:

  1. Open Steam, disable cloud sync for Game Dev Tycoon
  2. Open “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata[your steam id]\239820”
  3. Delete everything in there
  4. Open “C:\users[your windows username]\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon - Steam”
  5. Delete everything in there and restore a save state
  6. Launch the game, should work!
