My small backstory

I’ve started by looking at some steam games, then I saw this, then I got a cracked version, after 2 days, I’ve noticed the game got potential, then I thought, potential=surprises, then I saw this community, I was like “what a friendly community!” Then I felt SOOOOO bad that It was a startup company, then I quickly bought the game and noticed that I got 1.3.4 at September (IDK, maybe) and the steam version was 1.4.4 and I saw many improvements, the end (stupid ending)

The only thing I’m thinking is that: “will the community get disappointed about me?”

Just to say I’m sorry for getting a cracked version

I am definitely disappointed.

  1. You could have played the demo, to test whether you would like the game.
  2. You only felt bad because it was a start up you we’re pirating from.
  3. You should buy a game, because you like it and want to support the developer, not because of a friendly community.

Don’t mind me, i am always disappointed when people pirate games.

Not to argue but
3. I didn’t bought the game just because of the community

I won’t say disappointed…

It’s more about getting the game out there and getting popularity for it. Cracks and such will always happen no matter how big or small the game or company is… I’m just glad that you looked into the actual team who made it and put some money towards them instead of just saying whatever and move on.

Welcome to the community!

I’m really not disappointed but…

The devs of this game are disappointed because their game cost money. And if the quarter people pirate the GDT, the sale result will be same as before the GDT development.

Result: Neutral

I am happy that you decided to support us. The people who buy the game are the reason why some time in the future you may play version 2

Hopefully you will also support other games and see that piracy does have an effect on the products you can consume.
Anyway, thanks for your support and glad you enjoy the updates.

  1. Pirating games (especially GDT and other independent projects) is totally stupid. It harms the devs. Example: KAOS Studios (Frontlines: Fuel Of War, Homefront or the giy who made FEZ

  2. Buying a game because of the community, is a reason, but for me it’s a part of the whole package.

  3. It was a good choise to support GHG and buy GDT. Even you pirated it before.

Don’t forget the demo if you have not seen it.
