So, I’m wondering if it might not be at least reasonable to consider firing every employee you have once you get to office level 3, since most of the people you can hire from the start are highly competent, and you can be guaranteed for the 110k investment of getting someone at or near 700 in whichever skill you focus on, or in the 300/400 category of both if you go for the game demo.
Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Or does the lost production wind up killing you?
If no one has tried it, I’ll give it a shot.

I usually hire level 2 employees or even level 1, since with training i can improve my games and someone with 700 skill points can’t be trained as much as someone who had 200.
If you have been making games with 700+ skill staff and fire them and go back to lower skilled staff your games will suffer… A lot.

I do it almost every time. Haven’t played in a little while but it was always a better use of time and money than training low level employees. They really should get improved stats when they level up. I have never played a game where leveling up does not improve stats. Well, before this one…
