Add preorders as a research, When you market your game you should have an option to allow preorders, I should cost around 500k, but you still have to have hype for preorders.
Your game is selling really bad, what’s an option price drop! You can cut the price of the game once you release it by half, you’ll get half the money, but the sales peak might be worth it!
Competition, Maybe having another company that makes games, think about it, you spend a ton of money on a mid-evil game then you release it, the sales are good until another company releases a “better” mid-evil game, then you hear there making a hunting game so you make a better one, also it’d be cool if in interviews they’d ask you about the other company, you can be modest, or bash them and say your game will be better. And if it does sell better, maybe some of their fans go to you?
