More realistic system releases?

I was wondering if the game would be patch to better match the years the system release/get taken off the market. I noticed wile playing games are being pulled off the market to quickly.
Paying more attention you start at 1980, which means by year 11 its 1991 and the PS2 is releasing 10 years earlier then realistically. I think the game would benefit more if they’re released more realistically. It would just feel better in my opinion.

I think this doesn’t have to be realistic. From my opninion I’m never looking when what is released, only looking when is G3. I wouldn’t care to make those more realistic, and I think the game doesn’t really need it too.

It would make too much of a gap between the times between when platforms are released. Also, it defeats the purpose of being able to change how long your game lasts (25 to 35 years).

If the storyline gets extended to 50 yrs for example…and each console goes for say 7-10 years, that would be extremely challenging as you would of course get less money as there would be more consoles, it would be interesting.

I don’t think it would defeat the purpose of having a game 25-35 years. a normal 30 year game would last till 2010 which is only a couple years shy of the release on next gen consoles which (with the exception of the WiiU) we don’t know how they will be reacting apon release.

Yeah true, this did come out in 1980…I meant ingame. Maybe if the developers made the time slower, so instead of going through 30 years in a flash, or in 2 days or so, going through 30 years would take around 6-7 days or so, so you could have much funw ith it
