So later in the game, you depend on the size of the game which I understand. But what’s stupid is that when you make a small app for iPhone or/and iPad you get minimal score.

That’s how ipad, iphone and surface have so low marketshare, because the reviews are SO crappy and the games are so small.
Now of course the paragraph above doesn’t make sense.
I used to make medium games for DS and get quite good reviews and then the things start to get worse, 9, 8,5 , 8, 6,25.
What I suggest is that the reviews don’t depend on the size of the game but the points/size ratio. It should depend in what system it was developed.
Its how the game works at the moment.
Your Design and Technology totals makes up wether a game gets a good rating or not.
If you have been making Large or AAA games, your Design and Technology point generation is a lot higher, because those games take longer to develop.
That being said, in my opinion the game could use an improvement there.
In the end game you still have the GrPhone, PPS and GS available for games, but they simply do not support Large or AAA games.
To make this work, the algorithm should be change to take game size into account and therefor smaller games have a chance in the end game.
The algorithm already does take game size into account when calculating target rating. Play with it a bit more. Going from Large games back to Medium games is almost comforting. You can dial-a-hit by throwing the occasional Medium game into the mixture. You’ll get almost as many points as you would with the larger dev-cycle of a Large or AAA game, while having a much lower target rating to hit.
The only problem is that when you go back to Large games, you’ll discover you just ramped the difficulty way out of line. Your next Large game may lose fans for you!
Note that Small games actually have a tougher target to hit than Medium games, even though you can’t do as much with them. Making Small titles post-garage is shooting yourself in the foot. It’s always a bad choice.
