Make some game engine components mutually exclusive

Okay so here’s the situation:
Let’s make some of these engine components trump others.

We all know if you pick Immersive story telling, it trumps ‘interactive story’, so it’s better (as in, it costs more)
Advanced cutscenes trumps ‘simple cutscenes’.
Immersive story telling trumps Branching story trumps linear story
realistic body language trumps advance body language trumps simple body language
Celebrity voice action trumps voice acting
Surround sound trumps stereo sound
Orchestral soundtrack trumps soundtrack.
online play trumps multiplayer (I don’t like this but I assume multiplayer is included ‘in’ online play so I’m cool with that

but there are other components that do ‘not’ do this.

advanced physics + basic physics. You should not be able to select both of these, but you can.

skill trees versus character progression. I know skill trees is better, and I presume that skill trees has character progression included, so let’s make those mutually exclusive

What about ‘cooperative play’. Now, we have ‘mulitplayer’ and ‘online play’ in ‘engine’, but ‘cooperative play’ is in ‘gameplay’. I’m thinking cooperative play and multiplayer are the same exact thing. Also with ‘online play’ as I see it, including multiplayer, we can just remove cooperative play from the list all together.

Self-learning AI versus ‘better AI’. Self-learning AI should just trump this, both shouldn’t be necessary as self-learning is indeed ‘better AI’ and is quite far down the tree.

Dynamic world versus open world and day/night cycle. I think in a dynamic world, day/night cycles and ‘open world’ are simply included. Let’s make these exclusive.

a change I want:
I think ‘better user experience’ should cost 94k instead of 31k, and it should deselect both game tutorials and achievements, because as I see it, ‘better user experience’ has both of these included. game tutorials and achievements are both 31k.

second change I want:
I noticed that ‘voice over’ and ‘celebrity voice acting’ are the same price, but ‘celebrity voice acting’ comes much later. I think that ‘voice over’ should be only 94k, and ‘celebrity voice acting’ should stay at its 189K, and these two should be mutually exclusive

Well if you have only Quantum Mechanics but not simple things like “Stuff goes down cuz gravity” I think the world would be pretty wacky.

No, no, ‘advance physics’ has ‘basic physics’ included in it, from how I see it.

yeah… let’s hope Game #2 will be better balanced

Added some edits to the first post xD

I thought you was making a real programmed Game Engine by seeing the first sentences and the title xD

This is mostly by design. I’ll just pick one example to illustrate:

As you know, in GDT most of the time as a player you are deciding what’s more important for this type of game. An action-heavy game might not need as much focus on story as a RPG but a good Action game still has some story. Let’s say you put 10% of your development phase 1 focus on your Story and most of your focus on Gameplay and Engine. This doesn’t leave your developers much time to work on story and thus they’ll be more effective and more successful to develop a linear story instead of a branching story.

Case in point: In reality great action games usually have a immersive but linear story for that reason. Making a immersive and branching story is a lot more work than making a good immersive but linear story. Most action games don’t take a gamble and just stick with linear.

Given that, technology advances in story or even world design are not just better versions of what was before, they are different.

Hey, I just remembered something: Wait for Game #2
