Make GDT free software (as in "free speech")

Yes, but thats why gdt 2 is going to be mod compitable in the future, so there are going to be new mods

Thats why updating the mod exists

He doesn’t mean free in the sense of it being free of charge, but open (open source -> being able to do whatever you want with the game, etc).

i already cleared that out :stuck_out_tongue:

@Pastract Yes i understand but is still a awful idea

Haha thx, I try my best…but if i have a grammor fault…just let me know

My bad, I must’ve read over it.

Just like me…

if it is open sourced we are even allowed to sell the game…

haha :stuck_out_tongue: but I`m trying my best :stuck_out_tongue:

i can make out what you are saying most of the time anyway. Every now and then it will take a bit longer but i work it out (No offence)

Np :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly. That is why it is a terrible idea

Haha :stuck_out_tongue:
Still attending school so my English would be better in the future :stuck_out_tongue:

“open source” is a worse name than “free software”. because “free software” have to senses : freedom and price but if we understand that’s free in the sense of freedom it’s going. but “open source” has a definition that has nothing to do with his name. And also, update mods are possible. but if an author abandons his mod? if someone does, then he will want to be paid for his work…

Mate, just admit your idea is terrible

that is not an idea… and it is not that bad, I do not see how it would be horrible considering the number of free software now

Look…we understand that if we buy the game we have total freedom with it…but why whould we want it ??

Yes the mods would be compitable with gdt 1 for ever…but if there is a gdt 2/3 why would we want to play gdt 1 if it isn t as good as gdt 1 ??

Yes your idea for it to be “Free Speech” that is terrible

why would we want it? That’s a good question, but it joins an idea that says if it was not explicitly requested that we do not want to be chained, people have the right to bind us.
