Low score problem

Hey everyone, lovely game really. I almost feel emberassed buying it on summer discount.
I have a question, I’m in the last office and making large scale games now. And I keep getting low scores even though I make them according to genre, console, topic compliance and I set the emphasis according to game type from the gamedev wiki chart. I’m not making the same game in a row, my staff is full and well trained. What might be the problem?

Ps: sorry if this is a reposted question. Connecting from mobile so can’t navigate thoroughly

It depends, what graphics version are you using, have you updated your engine etc, there a lot more to it

Thank you, I’ll update my engine and try again when I’m home. Will poke here if I fail miserably:)

One more thing please. Can anyone share their experience about sequels. I’m not getting the difference between making a second game with same/similar genre-topic and making a sequal of first. How is it different? What should be taken to consideration while doing it? Any advantages/disadvantages?

Always switch genre/topic, to avoid that bad score.
Sequels must be made with one game in-between for optimal scores
Expansion packs may only be made after 48 weeks of the original release of an MMO.

Okay. Should I also change the topic when making the sequel? As in, if the original is hunting/action would the sequel be better of same comb. or a different one?

Hold it the same as last time.
