Lengthening and Random-Length Trends

I don’t think it’s particularly fair at the moment with how trends work at the moment.

Often times, I find myself in the middle of a game and find that a new trend has come that is the complete opposite of what my current project is asking for. With this, I have no problem, but where my issue lies is the length of trends. I tend to wait for trends so that I may jump on them, but I like creating AAA games because then I can heighten my T/D highscores and get a game that can have a good chance of excelling past the last in terms of average review score. And with time, a real issue becomes prevalent: you can’t keep up with trends. I’m not saying all trends should last the full duration that an AAA game would normally take, but I’m saying that it should vary. As you get further into the game, it should last longer, but it should also be somewhat random (with lengths as short as the average for medium to slightly longer than the time it would take on average to complete an AAA MMO).
