Kudos to DRM-Free game

Not seen this game in action, but I’ve decided to buy it and support it regardless, simply for your DRM free attitude, and yet you still get screwed over by Pirating.

Kudos to you guys.

I just need to know one thing; is this truly DRM-free? I’ve been shouting praises about this game to all that would listen and a few of my friends are planning on buying - but only if it truly is DRM-free, like you claimed. I heard some rumbling on the forum about there being an install limit? I’m fairly sure you know that constitutes DRM and a pretty restrictive one too, one that relies on remote servers and authentication in order to install.

I hope this is untrue and that it’s just poisonous grumblings from people that took offence to your (hilarious!) piracy trigger. Thanks again guys, I’ll be picking up my copy in the next few weeks but it would certainly go a long way if you could confirm whether or not there’s any DRM involved.

You are in for a surprise.

The install limit is in our license agreement. It’s generally used thing to legally not allow a million installation at once. There is however no DRM, so no technical enforcement of this.

wait so you can easily use a installer infinite amounts of times?

Ah! That makes sense, so it’s not a physically enforced software limitation? Thank you very much! That will sooth the nerves of a few friends :slight_smile:

if only EA actually learned that DRM doesn’t stop piracy but actually fuels the pirate engine. If anything, DRM-free games might be pirated less than DRM games. If you’ve played a game with DRM you would know how frustrating it is.

One thing though;

Surely Game Dev + Simulation should be a instant 10?!?!? :stuck_out_tongue:
