I love Game Dev Tycoon and if the developers are thinking about making Game Dev Tycoon 2 then they might want to use KickStarter to help get money to create Game Dev Tycoon 2 and using kickstarter can also help increase sales of Game Dev Tycoon. Basically what I am saying is if they want to use kickstarter to get funding for a sequel I will be there on day one putting money down to support a sequel. I was wondering if the developers decided to use kickstarter or something similar for a sequel how many other people would go and support them. I personally would put $30 dollars down for a sequel. Just wondering how many other people would support them on Kickstarter?

I would , I love GHG and GDT , I get so addicted to it.
I will give my input on this…I think that once GDT has a big enough fanbase and would know that if they started a campaign for GDT 2, and they knew they would be successful hopefully on it, I think they would do it if they wanted to, but thats a few years away but I wouldn’t mind giving money for that.
They likely won’t be doing a sequel right away. As mentioned in a blog post, they’ll most likely be doing something different next. But, I’d support it too if they did. 
Yea… GHG is still small… they have a ways to go before they research “Sequals”. 
Already GDT2? I would rather see a DLC. The game is perfect the way it is, just needs more content.

If they made a sequel, I don’t think it would top $30, but they have discussed it (The Publishers) and I have come to the conclusion that a sequel will be made somewhere in the next three years.
I think they said they wanted to try to produce some other kinds of games before releasing the sequel to this one…

our next project will not be Game Dev Tycoon 2 but I think it’s very likely that we will work on a sequel some time in the future. It’s definitely too early to really start talking about it though.
Patrick is correct, when a game has been out very shortly, you can’t talk about a sequel straight away, unless you’re Call of Duty.
