Let me start by mentioning that I wasn’t able to log in through G+/FB, due to a missing password field and an error message advising me my password must be at least 6 characters.
I heard of the game from Ars Technica, they ran an article on your “pirate” stunt, so I decided to download the demo. On the topic of the demo, the final screen doesn’t allow you to just quit the game. I had to end process to get out.
On to the main point of my post, the interface brings this game down.
-
Lots of wasted space, while all important information is stuffed into the top right corner. Date would be much better if displayed as a calender. Fans could be accompanied by an icon representing a group of people, that grows in size as you get more fans.
-
Reviews are lacking. Needs more possible reviews, more magazines - you could even make magazines for each device/topic/audience etc.
-
The main screen itself doesn’t really “do” anything. It’s just an image that awaits those massive dialog boxes, so the game could really be played in command line with no trouble. I understand it’s essentially a port of a mobile game, but come on, anything bigger than a tablet gives you a whole screen to play with. Do something with it.
-
You could redo the game design interface to take up about a third of the screen on the left, always showing the different phases of game design, and allowing you to change them on-the-fly if necessary. This interface would also make it easier to manage multiple games.
-
Balance-wise, I had too many research points. Granted, I did only play the demo.
-
Most of the game is spent watching bubbles. Not fun.
I must commend you on releasing a demo, but as it is right now I do not intend to purchase (or pirate) this game. Best of luck further.
EDIT: The formatting got messed up. Lol.
