Every time I develop “Game Dev Tycoon” within the game, it scores at least 8.25, even if my design balance is off and I’ve been producing a string of failures. I’ve gotten as high as 9.5 by developing the game within the game.
Having found this pattern, this has become my ‘save this playthrough’ button. If my company is desperate for a cash infusion I’ll develop a Game Dev Simulation titled Game Dev Tycoon, and we’ll earn enough to do some training and make the next game decent in its own right.
