In Response to the Feedback Thread

Hey guys! o/

I just wanted to make a quick thread once and for all pointing out something very important about the feedback that you present to the developers. While I understand that you want the game to be it’s best just as much as the next guy and the developers please keep this in mind:

  • Too Much Realism: This game is called “Game Dev Tycoon”. Not “Game Development Simulation”. It’s still a game guys! Some of the feedback I have seen is just out of this world. While I can appreciate a wish for more realistic features, I also scratch my head and think “Too much realism can also kill a game.” For example: You don’t add Permanent Injury, Drug Abuse, Alcohol Incidents, Prostitute Scandals and alike in a Sports Game. Why not? It adds to the realism right? The reason why is because it’s still a game. And you play games to escape from reality, not repeat it! Just remember this when you make suggestions :3
  • 2-man Studio: They are only two guys! They can only do so much. Try and think realistically. A big complex feature might add that extra bit of realism (as people seem to care maybe a bit too much about!) but would also put incredible stress on the developers and probably never see the light of day. Just remember they are 2 guys doing this hehe

Those are the main things I want to point out. I don’t do this to flame, or to point fingers at anyone. It just seems that people forget these things when they do feedback.

I love this game and I want to see it improved. It’s still a rough diamond in the mountain of coal!

hehe, sure, why not
…in a tongue-in-cheek way,
suppose your knuckle draggers need some, uh, relaxation, why not have some shady dealer or some special travel agency for overstressed world class athletes. think of NBA 2025 in a Spaceballs way…EA may not fall for it tho.
