If I buy the game now will I get it on Steam if it gets Greenlit?

So I love this game I played the demo and it was AMAZING. I watched so many Youtube videos about this and I fell in love with this game. I recently went to Steam and noticed that this game was in Greenlight. That’s where my question comes in. If i buy the game now will I get it on Steam if it gets Greenlit? Or will I just have to play it non-Steam? Please answer  Thanks.

I think all the buyer will get the steam key when the game get approved. They already promise to give the key to the one that bought it on Windows 8 App Store.

What if I bought it straight from the site? same?

I think yes, since we bought the game as the other users.

cool, thanks. That will be cool to track achievements on there, and spread the word by virtue of me being seen playing it.

One thing to note is that even once the game is on Steam, achievements will NOT be tracked by Steam, as the Steamworks API required to do this only supports C++ and (as is well publicised on this forum) the game is written in Javascript.

Hmm, but Spiral Knights is written in Java and it have Steam achievements…

I’m not sure but … I think there is way to import steam DDL in java…

Java allows for Platform Invoking, to access non-Java DLLs. Javascript, however, is not Java, and shares nothing with Java except the name and a few common coding standards.

I know, but since node-webkit is available on github, they could do a fork to include steam.

Of course, it’s not top priority.
