[Idea] Online Co-op?

Now, this is kinda out on the limb… But what would you all think about a co-op game mode?

Here is how it would work (in a way):
You could start up a business together, or against each other.

You each start off like a basic game, but you have check mark to get to. Who ever has the most fans, money, highest scores, will win. (you’d average them together)

Lets say each “round” is 10 years, and have a 30 year game, you would have three “rounds” and then who ever would win, would level up in “ranks”

Now this is just all an idea, not very thought out, just off the top of my head. If anyone has any more/better ideas, please share. :smiley:

I like it, but it’s been suggested tons of time. A lot of people want multiplayer. One day, a modder will just come around and make it for them, and they will be legendary.

Maybe a vs mod. I like the idea of going head to head against someone.

The idea is not perfected. I just thought of it last night, they are ways to improve it, and make a ranking system.

I would honestly love to see a co-op system, where you start up with a friend in a two player kept company, where you both need to be online to access and make games, etc. I think that we could have an online scoring system too. These are just the dreams of a mad person, however.

Just my opinion, I’d rather have it so two rival companies are battling it out and at the end of the game, (the host picks the date from the current present ones eg 35 years or 42 years) and whoever has the highest score wins. I like the idea of a ranking system in this, but I don’t like the idea of two people being the people that make all the decisions. It’d be confusing, and everything would have to be planned, you can only make one game at a time, and it isn’t very competitive.

Also, the random events that do nothing currently, like the hacking one, could actually have an effect on the opposing player.

@killertoad it is more then possible, there is a script that makes you able to “patch” the code, meaning you can add to the code, so it is definatley possible, you would just need someone really good at javascript, its a job for the developers though really, though some modders like @kristof1104 and @DzjengisKhan could posiibly make something like it

Well, we are planning on creating a multiplayer mod. This will take some time though, and wont be started before… a long time. Will also take a while to develop! All modders unite.
