Idea: follower game

Hello Guys
When I make a game, like Greenhearts Sports, and I want to make a follower game (like Super Greenhearts Sports)… I think it would be great when there is a scroll buttom that Game Dev Tycoon knows that this is a remake, follower game or else from a early game. Hope this is not a old topic idea…

PS: Hope my englisch is not so bad ^^’

sequel are already in the game

I think he doesn’t mean a sequel. He means you can assign games as a remake of a old game…

I would like such a option, but I don’t think I really NEED it. But still, it’s a good idea.

you mean a reboot or an Hd version fot old games??

Yes. That’s what I ment.

Yes something like that in the recently time of the game… and I want the Sequel Option in the beginning of the game, not later. When I make a game vor the ‘TES’, I want to make a Sequel vor the ‘STES’… but I can not make it…

Its a great idea! :green_heart:

I like the idea of sequels being available as a very early research topic. Could be a heck of a game changer, giving the ability to produce games for both the TES and the STES in rapid succession, or two related games on something like the TES or the Master V. Something that we all know will be dropped off by a later date and time, but happens before we learn how to make a sequel.

The way I look at it is that we should be able to sequel before we can make medium games.

I absolutely agree that sequels should be an early feature. The idea that game sequels didn’t exist in the NES era is just silly.

As for remakes, I just make a new game. It’s a remake, so I just make a game with the same topic/genre combo with a new engine and new features, and a related title. Like Re: Pocket Knights or whatever.

Yeah! How did Nintendo create SMB 2: The Lost Levels and SMB 2: USA?

And how about the addition of (as said above,) Remakes and HD versions of games, also (my own idea,) an option for sequels to make it a “Reboot” for the series. Like what coughSonic 06cough tried to do.

This would have saved me from losing almost 1M dollars

Well, that’s better than great idea guise! :stuck_out_tongue: Just kidding
