I upgraded my PC

So I got more RAM and a better graphics card to upgrade my PC from complete crap to just kinda bad.
After taking my PC apart and putting it back together again, I ran Game Dev Tycoon to see if there was any substantial difference.

It was like playing an emulator on 200% speed. The game was so much faster… I was so used to the ‘slow’ version I assumed that the game was supposed to be a lot slower than it really is! Now the game feels even shorter than ever. :blush:

So perhaps the system requirements are a bit higher than the Windows 8 store believes? I remember the store tried to stop me from buying it for not meeting system requirments… maybe it was correct to do so. XD

PS. If anyone else is stuck with the same model PC as me (emachines EL1352G), 4 GB RAM (2x2GB) and a GeForce 8 (make sure it’s low profile) are about the best you can get without buying a whole new PC.

They make windows 8 PCs with that low specs? or did u just upgrade your OS?

Actually, as a student, I’m in the Microsoft Dreamspark program, and they gave me a copy of Windows 8. Very nice of them.

Also, don’t buy PCs at Wal-mart. Not a good Idea. Now if only I can tell myself in 2011 that. Mabye my Game Dev Tycoon character will loan me his Delorean. :smiley:
