We always had a trial/demo version available. In fact, the trial/demo was available before the full game was even released.
That is what a lot of people claim to do. The actual numbers suggest a very different story.
Not saying that we don’t appreciate that some people do just that but when we talk about a lot of people then the data just doesn’t support such claims.
@PatrickKlug I searched on the main GHG website and could not find the trail/demo version of GDT all that I had found was to download button I then clicked it and found that there was only one way to get it at that time and it was to buy it.
So then that was when I downloaded it to check to see if it was worth purchasing, a few hours later I then purchased it so there was no trial/demo button to download it meaning the trail/demo.
Yeah, there’s a lot more people pirating the game to save $10 I guess so they can buy a meal from burger king instead of playing the demo or heck, watching footage on youtube (which is how I found out about the game by Sp00n).
The few times I pirated was just to try out the game. There wasn’t really a demo for the game or 2 I wanted to try out.
Of course, after playing the games for an hour or so, I didn’t find them interesting to me and deleted them.
Not everyone’s as fair as I am but it was before I knew steam was a thing and thought the only way I could get a copy of these games would be by buying it used which doesn’t help out the devs anyways…
If it makes ya guys feel any better, 1 of the games was by EA .
