I would like to download it for Windows 7 and Linux, is that not possible because I downloaded it from the MS store?

Like said several times, apparently you can’t download it more times if you bought it off the store, but the developers are looking into getting keys for the people who bought it through the MS store when it comes out on Steam.

Sorry but it is currently not possible to install the Windows 8 store version on another platform.
We do aim to give out Steam keys to Windows Store owners (as well as those who purchased directly from us) when we publish Game Dev Tycoon on Steam.
