I miss my old games!

You probably almost never hear someone complaining/asking about this, but here goes.

I have loads of old games/classics that I adore and want to play, but my current computer is too new to run them. Please do not suggest DosBox. I can either upgrade my version of Windows 7 to Professional or Ultimate and get some kind of Windows XP mode (my current version “Home Premium” cannot run a Windows XP mode), or, I can get a Windows XP gaming computer.

Now you might be rolling your eyes at me, but I have had problems with Windows XP computers not being to run certain games very well. So I just need something that has Windows XP and won’t have problems running games. Any suggestions?

VirtualBox.
Nuff said.

DOSBox for games from XP?

Yeah, use virtual machines.
Games run just fine.

I would suggest using Wine on Linux. It works especially good with old games

I would rather not mess with things I don’t know a lot about… I tried to use and research it, but I don’t like not knowing what I’m doing to my computer…

  1. Download the VM
  2. Get XP .iso or .bin or seomthing like this
  3. Create a new enviroment - If you are using virtual box then everything is explained.
  4. Install xp.

There are tons of tutorials on youtube.
Just google it.
