To start I’d like to just say that I am really enjoying the game. I had not heard of it prior to the Steam sale today, but I am so glad I scooped it up. It’s fun and, for a child of the 80’s that grew up gaming on the Atari 2600 through the current gen (with plenty of PC gaming mixed in), it’s funny.
I have one tiny critique: I think that the contract work needs either later due dates, or that employee contribution towards the goals needs to occur more rapidly. I’m in a company with three employees and I am still unable to complete even the “easiest” of contracts. I realize that in the real world you can’t always complete a contract on time (long time network engineer myself), but the hits occur far more than the misses.
Perhaps rather than a simple completion/penalty, you could work beyond the deadline on a contract but your reward would be less depending upon how far beyond the deadline the completion occurs? That’s how it typically works in the real world, at least in my experience.
