How were images in GDT made?

In Game Dev Tycoon, the images have great quality. I am wondering, are they vector or pixel images? If they are vector images, how do you make vector images?

They were made in Photoshop, that’s all I know.

Okay. If they were actually made in Photoshop, then that is very good art for pixel art. But vector makes sense. I just wanted to know mainly because I want to attempt to make an image for my first mod.

press PrntScr on your keyboard between Insert and Delete.

But I though that those were custom images they made? If they used print screen(which I know how to use) then they aren’t using custom images. What I mean is in the game, the images look higher quality then pixel art. Either they are great at pixel art or they made vector drawings.

EDIT:
The main reason I want to know is I am making a mod and I want to add a platform to the game. If I do this, I will need to create an image for the platform. I was wondering what the best way to do this is.

oh ok
i dont really know

The images are PNG format which means the are rasterized. They tend to be a higher resolution than the game’s resolution format requires, so the images have sharpness to spare, as it were.

You can find the images at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Game Dev Tycoon\images on a Windows machine.

Edit: If you need the path on a Mac, I’ll grab that later if I get out of my chair and go grab my laptop. It’s Lazy Sunday and I don’t want to get up

Thank you @ChikkaChiChi!
PS: I don’t have a Mac so you can stay in your chair. And Lazy Sunday is right, I feel extremely lazy as well!
